We purchase nuts from family-run farms, create our flavors with real fruit and herbs, and use fresh ingredients from Philadelphia and our local region whenever possible. It can take several days for our small team of talented chocolatiers to complete all the steps required to mix, melt, flavor, layer and decorate each new batch we produce. We don't cut corners in the kitchen, and our suppliers are no exception. Chef Angela works with República del Cacao, TCHO, and Valrhona to select the single-origin chocolates and blends we use. We buy from these companies not only for their impeccable quality and consistent flavor, but also because each one of these certified B Corps is committed to sustainable farming and ethical business practices. They maintain close relationships with the farmers and co-ops that grow our chocolate, pay fair and above market rates, and invest in the larger communities to ensure that their products are free from the exploitation that plagues much of the cacao industry.
